It was a good run, but The Litchfield/Mt. Olive unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Olympia by a score of 20-17.
Nic Olson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Olympia also got a significant boost from Kade Lollar, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 92 yards.
Litchfield/Mt. Olive's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Olympia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Litchfield/Mt. Olive does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Olympia will head out on the road to face off against Greenville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Greenville's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four contests.
