The Jefferson Blue Jays will be playing at home against the DeSoto Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Jefferson kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They were the victim of a tough 53-28 defeat at the hands of Sullivan.
Despite their defeat, Jefferson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Grace Neels, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Megan Wood, who scored 3 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
Meanwhile, DeSoto was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Monday as they fell 40-36 to Potosi. DeSoto has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jefferson was able to grind out a solid win over DeSoto in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 45-37. Does Jefferson have another victory up their sleeve, or will DeSoto turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
