Bunkie won the last time they faced St. Joseph's - Plaucheville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers blew past the Eagles 19-2. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Rylee Townsend was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other pitching news, Aubree Ducote looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Brianna LaBorde was a standout: she scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Andi Bettevy was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Bunkie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matchups.

Bunkie pushed their record up to 16-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-14 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bunkie will host Oak Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, they will welcome Avoyelles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
