Odessa was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They fell  2-0 to the Wakeland Wolverines.
 Wakeland was led to victory by  Aubree Fernandez and  Madeline Chen.  Fernandez  had seven  digs and two  aces, while  Chen  had seven  digs and two  assists. Those  two assists gave  Chen a new career-high.  Abby Parkinson also deserves some recognition as  she  served her first  ace of the season.
Odessa now  has a losing record of 6-7. As for Wakeland,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 8-3.
