The Whetstone Braves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mifflin. Whetstone was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mifflin apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
John Glover continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mifflin, scoring 26 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Mike Woodyard, who scored eight points.
Whetstone's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Mifflin, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.
Whetstone will take on Beechcroft at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mifflin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 306 points over their last five matchups.
