The Century Centurions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Savanna, falling 86-28. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Century in their matchups with Savanna: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading Savanna to victory were Paul Henderson and Dontey Henderson. Henderson scored 24 points, while Henderson scored 30 points along with three steals. Henderson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games he's played. Yousef Zuriegat was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Century's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9. As for Savanna, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.
Century will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Santa Ana Valley at 6:00 p.m. As for Savanna, they will head out on the road to face off against Western at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Savanna likes a good challenge.
