The Ross Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell 51-38 to East Central. While losing is never fun, Ross can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 490th in Ohio, while the Trojans are ranked 211th in Indiana).
East Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dylan Maxwell led the charge by scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Carson Pieczonka, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Ross' loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11. As for East Central, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ross will take on the Hornets at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Monroe and the Rams are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for East Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lawrenceburg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six last Saturday.
