Arp has won six straight games at home, while Troup has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. Arp will welcome Troup at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Arp got the win against West Rusk by a conclusive 16-4. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won four in a row.
Addison Carpenter made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Carpenter was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Arp got a massive performance out of Aubry Way, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Those four hits gave Way a new career-high. Hannah Martindale was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Arp kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in ten consecutive games.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Troup took on Sabine on Tuesday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 16-1 victory.
Like Arp, Troup also got a great game from a two-way player: Kiyah Arterberry. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Arterberry has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shiloh Sluder, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Olivia Anderson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Troup is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Arp, their victory bumped their record up to 25-4.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Arp hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .440. However, it's not like Troup struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Arp couldn't quite get it done against Troup in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 8-3. Can Arp avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
