McKinley Tech's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cardozo Clerks  a   49-0 shutout. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Trainers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 McKinley Tech got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Andre Johnson out in front who threw for 120 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.  Ziyon Walters helped  Johnson out on the ground, rushing for 68 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
 McKinley Tech's victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-4. As for Cardozo,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-4.
 McKinley Tech wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  a  28-20  win against Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering on the 26th. Cardozo has also  already played their next contest,  a  57-0  loss against Ron Brown on the 25th.
