 St. Francis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Max Madrigal, who threw for 267 yards and four  TDs while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. What's more,  Madrigal racked up 126.3  passer rating, the most he's  had since back in August. St. Francis' leading receiver  Robert Gomez was  Madrigal's top target yet again, picking up 118 receiving yards and one  touchdown.
Meanwhile, Monte Vista Christian ended up a good deal behind San Lorenzo Valley on Thursday and lost  30-14. The  game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring  matchup so far this season.
 St. Francis will need to focus on slowing down  Boston Ashe, one of several Monte Vista Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 80 receiving yards and a pair of  scores. Ashe has been hot recently, having also posted two or more  receiving touchdowns the last three times he's  played.  Evan Vessey was in the mix  as well, providing Monte Vista Christian with two TDs.
 This is the second loss in a row for Monte Vista Christian and  nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for St. Francis,  the  victory also got them back to even at 4-4.
