The Heath Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Utica Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
On Saturday, Heath came up short against River View and fell 3-1. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Black Bears 25-15 in the first set.
Heath started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-23.
Despite the loss, Heath got top-tier performance from Adrianne Pethtel, who had 20 digs and two aces.
Meanwhile, Utica also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Newark Catholic by a score of 3-1. While the Redskins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Green Wave 25-21 in the first set.
Utica started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-18, 25-11, 25-14.
Heath's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Utica, their loss ended a seven-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4.
