Solano County recap Oct. 30, 2012
American Canyon moved up to 223 from 257 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Solano County. American Canyon was able to make move up by topping Bethel 33-3.
Vallejo took down Fairfield 47-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jueit Davis ran for 123 yards and caught one passes for 35 yards in the win.
Jomon Dotson was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 141 yards on 19 carries as Ian MacMillan's team defeated Vanden. Teammate Robert Wilkes added to the ground attack by rushing for 125 yards.
Jadon Brisendine put up the best numbers through the air as the Vikings fell to the Panthers. He finished with a total of 10 completions for 90 yards and one touchdown. Brisendine's favorite target this week was Christian Basden, who caught four passes for 52 yards.
Ryan Bohnet provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Benicia topped Vanden. He completed 17 passes for 210 yards and also ran for 51 yards. Bohnet's favorite target this week was Hyde-Jr., who caught six passes for 76 yards.
Craig Holden's team's Bohnet and Hyde-Jr. have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bohnet has thrown for 2089 yards this season, while Hyde-Jr., a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 46 catches for 790 yards. Dotson from American Canyon leads the league in rushing with 1544 yards.
The top two teams in Solano County will face off this week when first place American Canyon takes on second place Benicia. American Canyon beat the Jaguars last week, while the Panthers defeated Levon Haynes' team.
Davis of the the Apaches is only 21 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 126 carries Davis has accumulated 979 yard this year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when American Canyon takes on Benicia. American Canyon has allowed 129 points this season, while the Panthers have given up 149. American Canyon allowed 3 points last week as it beat Jeff Turner's team.
There should be lots of points scored when American Canyon and Benicia face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, American Canyon comes in having scored 381 this season, while the Panthers have scored 270. American Canyon scored 33 points last week as it topped the Jaguars.
