The Goleman Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 25 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 43-7 win over Jackson at home.
Goleman found their leader in underclassman Akayla Edwards, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Edwards is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jasmin Brown, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Goleman's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Goleman's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hialeah Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Jackson, they will head out on the road to face off against Miami Beach at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
