Given Franklin Community's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while Decatur Central is ranked 120th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklin Community to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aubrey Runyon, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Scarlett Kimbrell, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Greenwood entered their tilt with Speedway with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Greenwood secured a 61-56 W over Speedway on Saturday.
Franklin Community has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 9-2 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Greenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Everything came up roses for Franklin Community against Greenwood in their previous meeting back in November as the team secured a 73-15 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Franklin Community since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
