After flying high against Hogan Prep Charter last Wednesday, Christ Prep Academy came back down to earth. The Christ Prep Academy Patriots took a 35-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Paul Lutheran Saints on Friday. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Christ Prep Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Abby Theiss, who had seven points in addition to six rebounds and six blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Hoover, who had five points along with two steals.
Christ Prep Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for St. Paul Lutheran, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Christ Prep Academy is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Maranatha Christian Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Carrollton at 6:00 p.m. on December 17th.
