The NorthWood Panthers and the East Central Trojans squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the NorthWood Panthers had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Trojans on the road and fell 42-14. NorthWood's defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why NorthWood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nitro Tuggle. Despite the final result, he picked up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Josh Ringer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 251 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry for East Central. Ringer is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. Ryan Brotherton was another key contributor, rushing for 77 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
NorthWood's loss dropped their record down to 12-3. As for East Central, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
NorthWood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. East Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
