The Patterson Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Mountain House Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Patterson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
Patterson's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Wednesday, when they got past Atwater's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Tigers put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 11-1 victory. The game marked the Tigers' most dominant win of the season.

Noah Cozart made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Izaya Fijman looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Max Medina, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Cole Medina was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run.
Meanwhile, Mountain House lost 13-3 to Sierra on Friday.
Mountain House saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callahan Healy, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Patterson pushed their record up to 16-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mountain House, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-19-1.
Mountain House's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Patterson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Mountain House, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Patterson keep running through batters, or will the Mustangs buck the trend?
Patterson skirted past Mountain House 3-1 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
