After a string of four wins, the Cranston West Falcons's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. Their tough 78-56 defeat to North Kingstown might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cranston West in their matchups with North Kingstown: they've now lost nine in a row.
Cranston West's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kyla Buco, who scored 17 points along with two steals, and Olivia Tedeschi-Moran who scored 16 points. Buco is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Saniyya Chase was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Cranston West's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for North Kingstown, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
Cranston West will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against East Providence at 7:00 p.m. East Providence is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for North Kingstown, they will head out on the road to take on St. Raphael Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Raphael Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
