Excel Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chae Vieira led the charge by scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was Clara Holley, who scored 11 points.
Excel Christian Academy's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Praise Academy, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Excel Christian Academy has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Valor Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Eagles in Georgia (the Lions are ranked 116th, while the Eagles are ranked 501st). As for Praise Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the LIONS at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Trinity Christian School of Griffin is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
