The Sickles Gryphons stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They claimed a resounding 67-4 win over Strawberry Crest at home. Winning may never get old, but Sickles sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Sickles found their leader in underclassman Kelsey Sharpe, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sharpe has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckham Hockley, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
Sickles is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Strawberry Crest, they dropped their record down to 6-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Sickles won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Alonso at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Alonso comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Strawberry Crest won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Durant at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Durant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Friday.
