Baseball Recap: Timberline Wins Going Away Against Meridian

Timberline lost to Meridian back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Wolves put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 14-2 victory. With that win, the Wolves brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Vinny Peters tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Isaac Mills was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Thistle, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Timberline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.

Timberline's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Meridian, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

Timberline has already played their next contest, a 9-2 loss against Middleton on the 10th. As for Meridian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-2 defeat against Boise on the 10th.
