On Thursday Douglass take on Manassas at 7:00 PM. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contest, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
Douglass found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 7-34 punch to the gut against Cordova last Friday. The loss shouldn't obscure the performances of freshman Anfernee Wilson, who rushed for 91 yards and 1 touchdown, and junior Eric Davis, who picked up 101 yards on the ground.
Meanwhile, Manassas came up short against Fayette Ware, falling 7-18.
The losses dropped Douglass to 2-2 and Manassas 0-3. Manassas's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Douglass defensive front that amassed 4 sacks against Cordova, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
