Chavez will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against South East at 3:15 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Chavez had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Canoga Park with a 20-15 win.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-56, which was the final score in South East's tilt against Westchester last Friday.
Chavez's victory lifted them to 1-0 while South East's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Chavez can add another positive mark to their record or if South East can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Chavez's step.
