Meanwhile, St. Ignatius gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 79-52 win over Medina.
Quinn Woidke and Jack Zapolnik were among the main playmakers for St. Ignatius as the former scored 19 points along with 3 steals and the latter scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Reece Robinson, who scored 7 points.
Louisville's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for St. Ignatius, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-0.
Louisville took a serious blow against St. Ignatius in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, falling 68-30. Can Louisville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
