The Benjamin Franklin Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 53-45 to Springfield.
Springfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caden Dykes, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Dequane Davis, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Benjamin Franklin's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Springfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Covington the next time they take the court. Benjamin Franklin will host Covington at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Springfield will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
