The Marmaton Valley Wildcats were the 76-44 winner over the Altoona-Midway Jets when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Marmaton Valley lost to Altoona-Midway on the road by a decisive 58-44 margin on Friday.
Altoona-Midway was led to victory by Jacob Meigs and William Stackhouse. Meigs dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Stackhouse dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Stackhouse is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kieran Foster, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Marmaton Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Altoona-Midway, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Marmaton Valley will head out on the road to face off against Jayhawk Linn at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Altoona-Midway, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Yates Center at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
