Northwestern is 2-8 against Graham Local since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Northwestern Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the Graham Local Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Northwestern is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-40, which was the final score in Northwestern's tilt against Indian Lake on Friday. Northwestern has not had much luck with Indian Lake recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jacob Shaffer, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Ross Fultz, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Graham Local came up short against North Union on Friday and fell 55-45. While losing is never fun, Graham Local can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while North Union is ranked 57th).
Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Graham Local, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Northwestern came up short against Graham Local when the teams last played back in January, falling 72-61. Can Northwestern avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
