After a string of seven wins, The Tanner Rattlers''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 48-21 loss at the hands of Booneville.
Tanner's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Karl Parham, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 264 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Another player making a difference was Tailin Hall, who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Zion Nunn was his usual excellent self, rushing for 230 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. Nunn was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tapp Fraiser, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Tanner's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Booneville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Tanner will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Lamar County at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Booneville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
