Southeast of Saline is 8-2 against the Trojans since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Southeast of Saline Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Beloit Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Southeast of Saline didn't have too much trouble with the Fighting Irish at home as they won 59-44.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southeast of Saline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Bailey, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Kejr, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Beloit waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They enjoyed a cozy 68-50 victory over Ellsworth.
Bryce Beisner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
The win got Southeast of Saline back to even at 7-7. As for Beloit, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Southeast of Saline have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 22.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Beloit struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.6 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Southeast of Saline came up short against the Trojans in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 44-40. Can Southeast of Saline avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
