The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Greenville in their matchups with Gentry: they've now lost three in a row.
Coriyonna Brown and Charlisa Barney certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Brown scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks, while Barney scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That was a full 47.4% of Greenville's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Greenville has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Gentry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.
