The Southland Christian FLAMES will take on the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Southland Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
Southland Christian's tournament run continued when they took on Nazaret Christian Academy on Sunday. The FLAMES took a 61-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The loss was the FLAMES' first of the season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Javon Chavez, who almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. He has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ismael Perez, who posted 12 points and eight boards.
Meanwhile, City of Life Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Life Christian Academy on Monday, taking the game 60-53. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Southland Christian better focus on containing Jahkeema King and Samuel Perez as the pair were huge in City of Life Christian Academy's win. King went 7-for-17 on his way to 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Perez scored nine points in addition to eight assists and seven boards. Isaac Manlove was another key player, putting up 14 points and six rebounds.
Having lost for the first time this season, Southland Christian fell to 8-1. As for City of Life Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Southland Christian hasn't given up the ball easily this season, having only averaged 7.8 turnovers per game. However, it's not like City of Life Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 9.5 turnovers. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything came up roses for Southland Christian against City of Life Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 97-69 victory. In that game, the FLAMES amassed a halftime lead of 64-32, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
