It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Antioch had no problem doing just that on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 26-12 win over the Round Lake Panthers. Winning may never get old, but the Sequoits sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
A big part of Antioch's victory came down to the chemistry between Tanner Ludwig and her top target Evie Baronello. Ludwig threw for 248 yards and four touchdowns while Baronello picked up 143 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Ludwig has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times she's played.
Antioch didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Round Lake to a completion percentage of just 44.8%. The Sequoits weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.
Antioch's defense didn't let Mya Hagi, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Rylee Dunlavy refused to say out of the backfield, picking up five sacks all by herself.
Although Round Lake took the loss, they still got scores from Kaleigh Skowronski and Emma Franks.
