After only one run in their last contest, Wickliffe made sure to put some runs up on the board against Kirtland on Tuesday. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Hornets. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Wickliffe has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Kirtland, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Wickliffe will venture away from home to square off against West Geauga at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Kirtland, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 24-10 loss against Cardinal on the 23rd.
