On Tuesday, the Anna Coyotes's game was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged Celina out 3-2. This was payback for Anna, who suffered a 6-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Desmar Marroquin and
Sebastian Griman, who scored all three of Anna's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 11 so far this season.
Anna's win bumped their record up to 5-7-1. As for Celina, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2-4.
Anna will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Farmersville at 11:30 a.m. Farmersville's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Celina, they will head out on the road to face off against Pilot Point at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Celina is facing Pilot Point at the right time seeing as Pilot Point is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
