There's no place like home for the Fivay Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past Central, posting a 50-7 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Fivay has managed all season.
Leading Fivay to victory were Jordana Montaner Rodgers and Naimah Mota. Montaner Rodgers scored ten points along with six assists and four steals, while Mota scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The contest was Montaner Rodgers' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brianna Williams, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
The win got Fivay back to even at 4-4. As for Central, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Fivay will head out on the road to face off against Sunlake at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Sunlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five last Wednesday. Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Citrus at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Citrus comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
