The Chilton Pirates lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were beaten by Meyer 64-32. Chilton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Meyer apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Meyer got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ethan Eckles out in front who scored 19 points along with five assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eckles has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Keng Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Chilton are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. As for Meyer, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-8.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Rosebud-Lott the next time they take the court. Chilton will host Rosebud-Lott at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Meyer will host them at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
