They took a 63-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miami Valley. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Emmanuel Christian Academy of the 48-43 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Matteo Boni was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds for Miami Valley. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Boni has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jacob Barnard, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Emmanuel Christian Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10. As for Miami Valley, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Emmanuel Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-34 loss vs. Franklin Monroe on the 10th. Miami Valley has also already played their next matchup, a 62-52 win against Twin Valley South on the 10th.
