Winter Haven breezed by Ridge Community on the road to the tune of 80-36 on Thursday. Winter Haven has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 24 points or more this season.
Jamie Phillips jr and Isaac Celiscar were among the main playmakers for Winter Haven as the former almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine assists and the latter almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Celiscar is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cezanne "Zay" Mosley, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Durant's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Winter Haven, their victory bumped their record up to 23-1.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Durant have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Winter Haven struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.8 rebounds per game.
