Basketball Game Preview: Hawkinsville Red Devils vs. Dooly County Bobcats

The Hawkinsville Red Devils just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Dooly County Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. Dooly County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hawkinsville, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Hawkinsville slipped by Wheeler County 47-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Hawkinsville relied on the efforts of Bryson Singletary, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points along with eight boards and five steals, and Nieem Blair, who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points. Singletary is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Martin Mcdonald, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Dooly County faced off against Crisp County on Saturday. 2025 welcomed Dooly County with a 65-40 loss courtesy of Crisp County. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Javion Sanders was Dooly County's leading scorer, having posted ten points. TyQuan Glover held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Dooly County dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points per game. As for Hawkinsville, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
