Harleton came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 35-22 win over the Beckville Bearcats. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the defeat, Beckville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Landrie Dennard posted eight points and three steals. Dennard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season.

Harleton's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Beckville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Harleton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 32-16 win against Arp on the 21st. As for Beckville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-8 victory against Daingerfield on the 21st.
