Central Noble has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Manchester Squires at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Central Noble is ranked 250th, while Manchester is ranked 252nd).
Central Noble owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They strolled past Prairie Heights with points to spare, taking the game 14-0.
Among those leading the charge was Devin Hiestand, who rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Hiestand was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards.
Another reason for the win was Central Noble's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Prairie Heights' QB won't forget Adam Marker anytime soon given Marker sacked him five times.
Meanwhile, after only six points in their last game, Manchester made sure to put some points up on the board against Whitko on Friday. Manchester blew past Whitko 49-19 on the road. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Manchester had established a 29 point advantage.
Manchester found their leader in underclassman Reiss Gaerte, who rushed for 311 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Logan Eastgate, who rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 4-6.
