Currituck County barely beat Martin County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights put the hurt on the Gators with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday.

Currituck County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddie Schuster led the charge by getting six digs and five aces. Schuster is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served four or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Schuster wasn't the only good servers: Currituck County was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Pasquotank County came up short against First Flight on Tuesday, falling 3-0.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-10.
Pasquotank County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Currituck County, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
Currituck County took their victory against Pasquotank County when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
