Sandy entered their tilt with David Douglas on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by  a  23-2 margin over the Scots. The Pioneers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Cal Green was a  major factor no matter where he played. He  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Green was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with two  RBI and one  run. Those  two  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Kobe Sparks was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.  Johnathin Silvis was another key player,  getting on base  in all five of his plate appearances with three  RBI and two  runs.
 Sandy was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as David Douglas only posted a  batting average of  .118.
Sandy's victory was  their seventh straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 14-2. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for David Douglas,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-12.
