The Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 58-31 win over Largo. Winning may never get old, but Clearwater Central Catholic sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Clearwater Central Catholic found their leader in underclassman Emme Dalhoff, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dalhoff has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Bedinghaus, who scored 12 points.
Despite the defeat, Largo had strong showings from Ava Bliss, who scored eight points along with five rebounds, and Kennedi Robertson, who scored three points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Robertson grabbed two or more steals.
Clearwater Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Largo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clearwater Central Catholic will take on Shorecrest Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shorecrest Prep is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Largo on the road again on Tuesday and play against St. Petersburg Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th.
