After flying high against the West Point Dragons last Friday, the Tolleson Wolverines came back down to earth. Tolleson had to suffer through a rough 66-24 loss at the hands of Valley Vista. Tolleson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-10.
Leading Valley Vista to victory were Emma Dasovich and Jada Wilson. Dasovich scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Wilson scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Tysyn Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten steals.
Tolleson has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Valley Vista, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Shadow Ridge the next time they take the court. Valley Vista will host Shadow Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Tolleson will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
