Softball Recap: Melbourne Has No Trouble Against Harrison

Melbourne never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Harrison on Saturday. They blew past the Goblins 15-1. The Bearkatz haven't had any issues with the Goblins recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Maggie Pierson was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Melbourne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .619. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Melbourne now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Harrison, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Melbourne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 defeat against Warsaw on the 22nd. As for Harrison, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Siloam Springs at 5:00 p.m. on April 1. Harrison is facing Siloam Springs at the right time seeing as Siloam Springs is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
