Basketball Recap: Mastery Charter Hardy Williams Takes a Loss

Mastery Charter Hardy Williams was the 66-56 winner over KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Mastery Charter Hardy Williams Knights came up short against KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy on Tuesday, falling 65-41. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sybir Brown, who went 7 of 12 en route to 21 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Mekhi Anderson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 boards and 11 blocks.

Mastery Charter Hardy Williams' loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.
