Despite the loss, Mattamuskeet still got an impressive performance from Kensley Cox, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That was a full 50% of Mattamuskeet's points, marking the 14th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Mariah Mccoy was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds.
Mattamuskeet's lineup was just a bit different on Friday as Mccoy got a bit more time on the court (28 vs. her season average of 14.55). Mccoy made the most of the opportunity, scoring four points along with eight rebounds. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.
Hobgood Charter's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-7. As for Mattamuskeet, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.
