Arcola put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Blue Ridge Knights with a sharp 16-2 victory. Considering the Purple Riders have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brody Phillips made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Tanner Thomas was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
