The Life Prep Fire will head out on the road to square off against the Topeka Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Life Prep suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-42 walloping at the hands of Legion Preparatory Academy. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Life Prep came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in Kansas, while Legion Preparatory Academy is ranked 49th in Texas).
Meanwhile, Topeka's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 61-32 loss at the hands of Hayden.
Life Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Topeka, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-6 record last season and are now at 2-6.
